Baby registry?

Hey y’all! I was just wondering when you decided to make a baby registry? I’m thinking of making one but I don’t know when to do it or what I should put on it. Did anyone have less than 20 items on their list? More than 30 items? How many is too many? Did you put a price limit on all items?? Like no more than $200 on a crib and no more than $60 on a swing?

I just did mine last weekend at 21 weeks since my shower invites are going out soon. We registered at Target and Buy Buy Baby, and there are about 40 items on each. 
We didn’t necessarily put price limits on our items, but we only registered for items that we would buy for ourselves (since we will have to anyhow if we don’t receive it), so we were conscious of price vs quality on everything.
Both Target and Buy Buy Baby have checklists online for what to register for; obviously they want you buy more stuff so there are definitely unnecessary items, but it really helped guide us. We already have furniture so we didn’t register for any, but our 80 items covers all of our needs and most of our wants, so I’d have trouble seeing how limiting your registry to less than that would cover everything unless you already have a lot of stuff.

I have a registry at BabiesRUs which has 37 items on it.
My registry at Target has 39 items on it.
And I just started my Amazon registry so it has like 3 items on it.
*my BabiesRUs registry is basically pointless since they’re closing, hence why my Target registry has about the same amount of items on it*

Put everything you’ll need for baby in it regardless of price. That way when you need to buy stuff you’ll be able to use your completion coupon on it and get a discount.

I have about 60-70 items of all price ranges. I plan to have mine fully done before I send out my baby shower invites in a couple weeks

i think i had about 80 things on it. i had everything on it from cheap washclothes to my whole car seat stroller travel system. its nice to give a lot of options in all price ranges so people have a choice in what they spend
