My daughter is 9 weeks old and a couple days ago she was getting so fussy with the nipple shield that I finally just took it off ( I have flatter nipples and she had a bad latch hence the reason for the shield). Ever since taking it off I am committed to nursing without it! She is latching decent I think?? But my nipples hurt So bad!! Is this normal? I guess my boobs just were protected with the shield so they didn’t toughen up...

How long did it take for you to stop feeling pain while breastfeeding? When did your boobs toughen up lol I’m nervous because I have more sensitive boobs so maybe it will be like this forever??
