Does a positive opk mean I definitely ovulated?

Hi ladies! I have PCOS (mild according to my doctor) and possibly endometriosis. I know that means it's possible I'm not ovulating. If I buy opks and it shows positive, does that mean I am ovulating? Or can those give false positives? Just trying to figure out what to do here... I've had 3 unsuccessful cycles so far. Thanks all!

W PCOS sometimes all the tests are positive and sometimes all negative. Use temp to see if/when you ovulate. You can just temp for a month and see if you can figure out when you ovulated or keep using opks too and see which positives match w temp. A positive opk means you should ovulate sometime within 12-36 hours and the egg is viable anywhere from 12-24 hours. Temp will usually drop for ovulation and spike the next day or get higher over a few days and stay high til around time for period or stay high to confirm pregnancy.
