chemical pregnancy?

hi everyone,

I have PCOS so my periods are extremely irregular. my last one was in January and my husband and I have been actively trying to convince for 4 years now. yesterday I woke up and threw up 3 times, had horrible cramping then started bleeding. I bled for the day kinda heavy and today it is very light. I've never been pregnant or miscarriage before. could this be a chemical pregnancy? I only googled and it sounds like it, but I did not take a pregnancy test until yesterday and it was negative. should I call my doctor and explain what happened? can she let me know if I had a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage.
