Did anyone start trying before they were married?

So my future husband and i decided to start trying the first of june to get prego... Sure enough not even 2 weeks into to june we got prego but i come from a lds background and we are afraid if people in our families find out they will be highly upset...what are your guys person view on this?

For myself, I would have never ttc without being married, for personal beliefs. But for other people, as long as you can provide for your child without living off the government, and you are in a steady committed relationship, it really shouldn't be a big deal.

Yup, we were engaged, wedding was planned, I was finishing school and we both had full time jobs. SO looked at me and said, 'we want kids and I'm not getting any younger' (he's 12 years older) We found out pretty soon after that William was coming💜

My fiance and I had our first child 3 years ago and we are currently trying for baby number 2. The way I look at is as long as the love and commitment is there and you both are ready then why not. Marriage after all is just a piece of paper

My now husband and I were together for almost a year when we decided to have a baby.  We weren't married yet, I was 18 and he was 21.  We knew we were ready and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.  People are ready for a child at all different points in their lives.  Marriage doesn't mean you are more ready.

I don't know much about the LDS church because I'm not a member, but my husband is. He did say they are big on having families and raising children, they aren't big on having children out of wedlock though. He would always say it wasn't the best idea and that the church did not approve of such occurances. However if the commitment is there and the couple still marries I don't see why it would be a big deal. I know the importance of why they would want couples to wait but that's not the case all the time. You guys obviously planned it this way, so go forth and hold your head up high. Be thankful you were able to conceive without any problems and continue to focus on God and stay true to your commitment to marry. Best of luck!

I am ttc with my so for a year now... we have been together almost 5.  We live together since 4 months in relationship.  We both agree that marriage is not the main thing for us right now but we are ready to extend our family.  My family is ok with ut. His family would prefer marriage but not up to them.  Good luck
