Can your ovulation test detect a pregnancy??

Advise and thoughts welcome.
I had my first pregnancy and miscarriage in Feb this year and have been ttc for the last 2 weeks.
This last week I’ve had the same pregnancy symptoms as last time and decided to test. The test came out negative so I decided to take an ovulation test just incase the symptoms were ovulation pains instead. The odd thing is I already ovulated on the 17th of this month so didn’t think I would again. The ovulation test came out a faint positive which has thrown me!
I’ve just been to the loo and noticed brown blood in my underwear which again was a symptom I had last pregnancy. 
Has my ovulation test picked up hcg instead of LG levels?

You always have some level of LH in your system, so it’s not reliable!

it would have to be a dark positive. and even then it's not a guarantee that you're pregnant. there's always a second faint line on OPKs.

It does, i did one the other day but the test line is much darker

There’s no such thing as a faint positive for LH tests. They almost always have 2 lines. If the test line isn’t as dark or darker than control it’s just negative. 
There are issues trying to use LH tests to detect pregnancy. And it’s actually normal to have another LH surge before your period. It’s not pregnancy or ovulation. Just that when progesterone drops LH can rise.  
I’d suggest waiting a few days and trying another pregnancy test. Good luck!!

When I was about 7/8 weeks pregnant I tried an ovulation test to see what would happen and that picked up hcg but I think early on the hpt pick it up first x
