High Blood Pressure?

I had my monthly appointment today and when I got there the nurse practitioner took my blood pressure and said “wow that’s really high!” So she finished the rest of the appointment and did it again. She didn’t tell me the numbers the first time but the second time is was 140/72. She said they are going to have me come back in two weeks to monitor it.

Suggestions for lowering it before then? I’m a little freaked out and she didn’t offer me any words to make me feel better.
