Battling Pcos with weight loss

Sarah

Hey guys!

So on the left I was 137kg (274 pounds)

And on the right I’m 104kg (208 pounds)

All in 7 months 😁

Still have 34kg (68 pounds) to get to my goal weight.

A little back story, I have been battling weight my whole life, which is probably why I developed pcos, since I was just 5 years old, I was always bigger than the other kids, heck probably even the teachers.

As I got older things got worse, when I was getting married 5 years ago I managed to get down to 115kg (230 pounds)

I thought that was something, but it wasn’t. I did it the wrong way, starved myself, forced myself to do some form of exercise, having a cigarette to replace a meal, and it didn’t get me very far. After 4 years of being comfortable around my partner, I reached a whopping weight of 145kg, (290 pounds) I was depressed, smoking my longings out, eating anything and everything, never being able to workout because my weight didn’t help, plus not having the right lung capacity.

Until 7 months ago. Actually it started with quitting smoking, I said to myself you know what, I am a nurse, I’d educate patients on the benefits of quitting smoking, why couldn’t I take my own advice?

5 months after quitting I decided to try a workout at the gym, and guess what I felt? A relaxing feeling of “I can breathe 😚💨 “

I started to eat right because I thought what was the point of putting all that effort at the gym to ruin it with bad food. I came across a life changing diet, the ketosis diet a long with intermittent fasting.

And oh my god, can I tell you it has really changed my life. As most pcos sufferers, I had something called insulin resistance. My insulin levels were way out of whack. I eventually was going to develop type 2 diabetes.

After 3 months my insulin levels started to go back down. After being without a regular period for almost 15 years of my life, I have started to get one every month!

33kg (66 pounds) down, 34kg (68 pounds to go) 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😁😁😁🤗🤗🤗✅

I think of gone on way to long, but to any of you who are suffering with weight, pcos or anything standing in your way of becoming the best version of YOU, don’t give up, and don’t loose hope, where there’s a will, consistency and hard work, they surely is a way!!!
