Need advice .. Teen(17)

So , I'm going to take a pregnancy test in a day or two because I'm having lots of symptoms... I'm on birth control , so I don't know how it could happen.. Although I know it's not 100 percent affective , but if I am I'm so scared to tell my boyfriend .. Any advice :/ how did you guys tell your boyfriend and/or parents ..
