Birth at 34-36 weeks. Advice????

Question

Moms who have given birth between 34-36 weeks...how did it go? Was your LO okay? NICU stay? I’m curious because I was diagnosed with preterm labor at 31+4. We have made it a few more weeks. I’m now 34+2. I just have a growing feeling that I’m going to go into labor again soon, like in the next few days, and I’m worried. I need advice!!!

I work as an L&D; nurse and, while it isn't the best thing for baby to come early, we don't get too stressed about little ones born over at least 33 weeks. They usually do really well and mostly just need help with keeping oxygen levels up and learning to eat. If you can make it to 36 weeks you might not even have to have a NICU stay ❤ I hope everything goes well for you two!

had my baby at 36 weeks due to loss of amniotic fluid. He was in the NICU for a week due to a small hole in his lungs. He is now 11 days old and has joined us at home and is doing fantastic! good luck mama!

My oldest was born at 35+2 and she was 7lbs 2 oz and fine no nicu!!! My son was born 35+3 and stayed 6 days in nicu due to his lungs not developed. He went home on oxygen for a month, has asthma now but well controlled

I went into preterm labor with my first at 24 weeks, labor was able to be stalled to 34w3d and he didn’t need any nicu time. He went in there to be examined and to get ultrasounds he has pkd but that has nothing to do with why he came early. 
I started contracting with this baby at 19 weeks, and shortening at 20 weeks. I’m currently 29weeks. We’re hoping I can make it to 34 again

My LO was born at 34 weeks  He was born at 3lb 13 oz . it's scary but and nothing can prepare you to what you are going to feel or what is going to happen.The NICU doctor usually comes to talk to you to let you know of the risk of having a preemie and the nurses are great. The doctors gave me 2 steroid shots to help my LO lungs to develop. It really depends on your little ones needs of how long they will stay. My LO was in the NICU for 2 weeks.
