Rhogam Injection Experience

Went for my Rhogam Injection today... First, they take your blood to confirm your blood type. Second, they send the blood out to the lab which can take 1-3 hours. For me it only took 1.5 hours. Third, was the actual injection. So the needle itself is approx 4” long 😳 and it’s injected on the lateral side of your thigh. My hospital no longer injects the arm or buttocks because of depth of injection and risk of hitting the sciatic nerve. The initial prick of the needle is nothing worse than a flu shot. All you feel after the prick is burning of the solution being injected and that’s it! It takes two seconds! Nothing to worry about 😺
