Is it ok to raise a child atheist? PLEASE READ BEFORE VOTING OR REPLYING

If you're not going to read this first, please dont bother commenting. Ok guys, here's my dilemma. Please take into consideration that i am 14 and got caught in the middle of my friends argument, so i decided to get help from people with outside and opposing views. We are also all atheist
Friend 1 argument: Many christians raise their child as strict, God fearing christians. They have their own religions (sorry any religious people reading) out of so many that exist that not one could possibly be true. And if one were true, it couldn't be christianity because Christianity condones slavery, killing gays, treating women as subservient to men and many other things that people don't do now. So, we would all "burn in hell" for not following it to that extent, right? Don't scare them with something that doesnt make sense and have them think one mistake is a lifetime in "hell"
Friend 2 (agrees with friend one mostly): Christianity doesnt make sense, but some other ones do so it would be more reasonable to explain our views, show them other religions and let them choose.
I personally agree with 1 more than 2 but understand where 2 is coming from. Please help
 AND PLEASE UNDERSTAND I JUST REPEATED WHAT A FRIEND POINTED OUT. I AM IN NO WAY TRYING TO MAKE YOU TURN YOUR BACK ON YOUR RELIGION, NOR DO I WISH YOU TRY TO TURN ME.
I respect your religion though i don't believe in it and i wish you dont say anything along the lines of "Lord, bless this child"

Im an atheist, I’m teaching my daughter about all religions so she can decide if she wants to follow one or not. 
I always felt growing up schools focused more on christianity more than any other religions and i think thats why theirs so much misunderstandings between other cultures and religions.

I think the parents need to raise their children the way they think is best. If they are Christians, no harm in raising your children as Christians. Give your child something to believe in, something they feel they can turn to in hard times. If they want to raise them atheist, that's also their prerogative. To me this is kind of like the spanking/ not spanking topic. What works for one family doesn't work for another and vice versa. At the end of the day as long as the children are raised to believe in tolerance, to have an open mind, to be kind, helpful, patient, raised with ethics s and morals then it doesn't matter.

I personally think it’s wrong to raise a child and teach them that any religion (or lack thereof) is 100% right. It’s fine if you believe, but don’t force your kids to. I will allow any kids I have to explore any religion they want, and will support whatever they believe in, as long as they aren’t harming others.

I think parents raise their children with religious views regardless of what that particular religion is.
If you were to ask me what religion my daughter will be? Somewhere between Pagan, Christian and Agnostic.
Why? Because I follow parts of all three, in my household we celebrate Christmas, and Yule. We teach the religious reasons behind them, but they are not forced to believe in that god or not see one path, but they do acknowledge it. I also am letting my child figure out what religion they are by studying religious texts from multiple religions and from their feelings on those texts. 
So its okay to raise a child in a religion. Almost everyone does. Like even being atheist, your child picks up on that view point. They will either agree and be that religion or disagree and choose a different one.

If I were to have a child I would let them choose once they are old enough honestly. Not get them baptized or anything like that
