36 weeks ! 3 cent. Dilated ! Labor !?

OKAY YALL I NEED HELP 🤦🏼‍♀️At my 33 weeks appointment , my baby boy was measuring 35 weeks . Roughly weighing 5 pounds and 4 ounces . My doctor said I should be having an 8 or 9 pound baby and will likely be induced at 39 weeks to make sure he doesn't grow anymore 😳 WELL now Thursday comes along and I'm now 35 weeks and 4 days , I had another doctors appointment , just a weekly routine visit but this time they checked me to see if I was dilated at all . Sure enough I was already dilated to 3 centimeters and told that my baby was very low which was a good thing , but that I probably won't make it to my due date 😅 I've been experiencing cramps and the tensing of my stomach since I was 30 weeks BUT since my appointment on Thursday , they've gotten a little more intense . Mainly feeling like really intense period cramps . I'm thinking they're just Braxton hicks contractions . They last about 6-7 minutes and are 24-30 minutes apart and stay at that tempo for 6+ hours , nothing has really changed but I do have what they call lightning ? Like the nerves in my vagina shock ? If that makes sense lol 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ I've refrained going to the hospital because I have my baby shower today and I really don't want to go to the hospital unless I absolutely have to . Right now the cramping is very uncomfortable and it won't go away no matter which position I change to . But as uncomfortable as they are , I have a high pain tolerance and can tolerate them . I guess I'm just looking for advice on what I should do . I'm really trying to attend my baby shower but I'm nervous that I've dilated more since Thursday . My boyfriend really wants me to go to the hospital (because he's literally over the moon excited and just wants his son here) but I just don't see the point in going if I don't have those labor signs.. I mean I don't want to go just to be sent back home . Anything is helpful but please no negativity or judgement thank you !!💙💙💙 due date is April 29th

UPDATE: it'll be exactly one whole week tomorrow and tomorrow I have my doctors appointment so we will see what the news is ! Baby shower went amazingly
