How soon did you go on maternity leave?

So I'm a high risk pregnancy because I'm gestational diabetic and have asthma which I've been hospitalized for during this pregnancy. I was wondering how soon do you working moms plan on taking maternity leave?

I planned to start maternity leave at 36 weeks, but due to a unforeseen change in the habit of my epilepsy (I had been seizure free for almost 7 years) I had to go off at 19 weeks!!! 😲 Luckily most of it has been sick leave, then using up holiday leave so my maternity leave doesn't officially start until about 36 weeks anyway?

I'm high risk and have been off since 10 weeks!  I would assume it depends on what you do and how it's affecting you and your pregnancy. My friends have all worked until 37 weeks or more. Hope you have a smooth pregnancy!

I work as a caregiver and we are understaffed, so I'm staying until I get put on bed rest or labor, due to the fact that they need me. But it's getting difficult now that he has dropped so we will see

As long as baby cooperates, I plan on taking leave starting August 30th and baby is due on September 8th. We'll see if baby has different plans or not. :)

I'm high risk from type one diabetes and said I'd rather leave my job with leave than get told I was on bed rest and leave them in the dark
