Vaginal healing after birth...?

Hey ladies! 
 How many of y’all tore and how long did it take to heal? I have stitches from tearing, and I’m so uncomfortable 😩 I can’t stand or walk around for very long, and sitting down is just a killer. I’m in pain 24/7 😢 
Also this might be TMI but I haven’t had a bowel movement in I guess it’s 6 days now, is that normal should I be concerned?

I held my poo in for a week after birth!!! 😳😳😳 I actually wouldn't eat much because I was so scared of pooping!! I took stool softeners and finally ate a few prunes and it honestly wasn't that bad at all. The stitches stopped bothering me completely after about a week and a half. But in those couple weeks, they went from hurting to itching to being sore (once everything was close to healing it felt really tender if I even sat wrong).

Take a fiber vitamin! It’ll help with the bowel movements. And witch hazel wipes are awesome. And you can make those ice pad things with the diaper that they give you at the hospital at home. And my doctor gave me some numbing spray to take home with me but I’m sure you could get it somewhere!

I had a 3rd degree, a sulcus tear and an episiotomy. It took me more than 6 weeks to heal. It was terrible. I could hardly walk.
Take motrin, do a sitz bath and use dermoplast spray.

it's normal for a bowel movement to take longer to come after giving birth not only may you be nervous about going to the bathroom but your body has gone through a huge stress so it happens sometimes. but like others have stated take your stool softener if the hospital gave you one or pick one up over the counter thats safe if your breastfeeding. that will help and make a huge difference in that department. as for the stitches mine are still healing and I'm 5w pp. so just give it some time if you can and keep up with the Tylenol or motrin to help with swelling and all that. And if you have padcicles or dermoblast that should help to.

suppository for a comfortable bowel movement will help. its a bit scary cause everything hurts and stiches take a while to heal, mine took about 2 weeks and bowel movement was after about 4 days

Thank you ladies for all the advice so far! I haven’t had the sensation to go really at all. I’ve passed gas but nothing else. I’ve been eating normally, drank coffee and apple juice. They did send me home with out me going to the restroom, but gave me a laxative. I have taken one stool softener maybe I should take more. I am thinking if by tomorrow I haven’t gone I’ll call my doctor.

Like the others said take stool softeners. Also take a pad soak it in water and freeze it. My nurses gave me those after birth and it felt better down there.

My hospital sent me home with stool softeners that I didn’t think I needed to take. After 5 days I decided to take them. Thank god I did.

I would be a bit concerned about the poo situation. maybe some softeners would help? it's definitely scary to poop the first few times but I found it helped to shower clean (we have a hose shower right next to the toilet) rather than wiping with anything. 
as for the stitches, everything was really miserable the first week but it started to get much better quickly after that.

They usually like you to have a bowel movement within a few days. Sometimes no movement can be a sign something is wrong. Do you feel like you need to and can’t? Or do you not even feel the need? I know that’s awkward, but if you feel the need, try some stool softeners and using a little step stool or pile of books in front of the potty to help you put less pressure on yourself while trying to go. They help! If you don’t feel the need at all, I’d call your doctor.
