Teaching a 2 & 1/2 year old.

So I have a lot of people tell me that my daughter whom will be 2 1/2 in exactly a month, is super smart for her age, as far as how she talks and the way she just naturally knows things and catches onto things so easily. The thing is, she has been talking in full sentences for a while now, she can count to 10 and knows probably 6-8 colors, but I cannot seem to interest her in learning her letters, shapes, or sitting down to learn anything for that matter. The more I try, the more frustrated she gets. Therefore I have stopped pushing her. Did anyone else go through this? My daughter is extremely smart, but only because she picks up what she wants to, not everything I teach her. I’m super proud of her and I’m not posting this out of frustration, because I know every toddler learns at their own pace. Just wondering if anyone had a child who was smart but didn’t care to sit and learn? Lol.
