Help..

I've posted a bunch of times here about my situation and now I've come up with another problem that some of you might be able to help me.

I'm eighteen and I'm seeing someone who's twenty-four. Technically I am an adult and able to do whatever. So it's fine for me to see him and develop a relationship with him.

On the other hand, my stepdad talked to me about the age difference and where we are in life. He's out of college and is working full time. I'm still a senior in high school (soon to be in college) and is working part time. We are in different places in life, yet we chose to be with each other and have each other's company. What my stepdad told me made so much sense when he told me about how it's so much better if I was dating someone near my age, and he could actually go to family events and get to know him. I so agree with that but I just can't leave this guy because of that.. and I like him a lot.
