Weights Question

So, I love the gym. I go 5x a week, but I’m the biggest cardio person. I lost 40 lbs doing strictly cardio and I’m very intimidated by weights but I Want to start adding them to my routine. I just had a few questions if anyone could help me out....

1. I still have 20 lbs to lose to be at my goal. Will weights help with losing weight or will they just tone?

2. Can I still do cardio AND weights? Like 40 min cardio/20 min weights?

3. I usually do fasted cardio because I go at 5 AM, can I do weights without eating beforehand? And if I need to eat, what’s best to eat?

4. What is a good weight routine?
