First time using tampons

This is my first time trying tampons, I’m able to put it in no problem, but I can SORT OF feel it inside. It’s the slightest of discomfort and if I move or sit in a certain way I can feel it. I’m not sure if this is because its not in far enough or maybe because it’s my first time and I KNOW it’s there... would like some help, thank you :)
