So I went to ulta and asked for a blue shampoo and they gave me this? Can this help with my orange patches?

Also I forgot to ask...Can I use this today since I dyed my hair yesterday?

It might help a little if you leave it in for a good amount of time but you may need to rebleach. And yes you can use it today ive used purple shampoo the same day i dyed my hair lol

I’m a hairstylist and I work with a lot of blondes... Purple/Blue shampoo can definitely help get rid of unwanted warm tones! Use once or twice a week to help cool it down, but if you aren’t noticing much of a difference you are going to need to rebleach. Your hair goes through stages when lightening and since your root color is pretty dark it’s normal to be warmer. Depending on how much damage your hair has, wait 4-6 weeks before going back in to lighten again. Hope all this helps! Be patient, your hair will thank you 💕

Generally a purple based shampoo helps removes the brassy copper colours from recently lightened hair....I use Schwarzkopf Colour Freeze Silver Shampoo (it’s purple I swear)...it’s a white bottle with a pink lid. I use it every time I was my hair and I leave it on for about 2-4 min before I wash it out. Works great! Just note that purple or blue shampoo will dry out your hair if you use it too much. So make sure you are conditioning your hair too!

They recommended that?! That stuff should hardly be called a purple shampoo. Though I do like their coconut conditioner. But what you’re looking for is a highly pigmented purple toning shampoo. And i mean like dark! 
I use Pravana. Ulta has that one as well. It should definitely tone down the brassiness. However if you’re looking for a brighter blonde then I’d recommend going to a professional. Toning will technically make your hair kind of darker/ashy. My hair is a lot blonder, so when I use the pravana, it makes it a more silvery ash tone. But it does get rid of the yellow/orange tones. Not all at once though.
