My husband and I finally decided to announce the name we chose to our family. We’re going into the third trimester, but I honestly still wanted to wait til basically the birth.

His family had nothing but nice things to say.

My family on the other hand, “where did you get THAT name?” “Your grandmothers are going to have a hard time pronouncing that” “what about this other middle name, I think that would look better on paper”.

I mean good lord people! It’s not like we chose some out of this world name, that’s totally insane. It’s a normal name! I specifically wanted to wait because I didn’t want anyone to think there was time to get us to change it, or give us too many opinions. It took us months to pick his name, and we narrowed it down a bunch, and tried to pick one that we both love. So it’s not like we chose it last minute out of the blue!
