Anyone have arrested embryos?

Has anyone had all of their embryos arrest and then had a successful IVF cycle following?  I’m looking for encouragement!  
We recently found out all of our embryos arrested at about 7 cells... we had 8 of them. Not a single one continued to develop past day 3.  We are going to start another round in a few weeks. We see the Dr Monday for an explanation... and more info.  Thanks in advance!

Any updates from the doctor? Going to see mine Wednesday for a baseline check. Planning on setting up an appointment next week to discuss any more options added on to the estrogen protocol that could help our eggs to blast.

We only got one ok quality 5 day embryo out of 16... unfortunately it didn’t take. It’s not the positive story you were hoping for, but I just wanted you to know that it’s not uncommon despite the thought that rates are so much higher and it costs so much more money. We actually went back to injectable iui cycles and had better success with using progesterone supplementation which is standard protocol for our new clinic. Since they were triggering me, I also used 3mg of melatonin every night during stims until trigger the cycle I conceived. Maybe look into that for IVF cycle too. “It starts with an egg” by Rebecca Fett is an awesome book on improving egg quality during IVF with supplementation and what to avoid.

UPDATE:  We saw the doctor today. He was very kind and calming. He said it would be extremely rare to have another cycle with complete arrest of all embryos.  He said the first thing he did was check the equipment logs to be sure it wasn’t a culture medium issue or an incubator issue. You know I asked that question point blank ☺️.  He explained the reasons behind the dosing and the medication and how he would change the next round now knowing what he knows about my responses.  He was very supportive and gave us great suggestions. He said we could try DHEA supplements for 4 weeks and if we were desperate he would suggest HGH for 2 weeks to improve the quality of the eggs. However he only usually does that for women with low Ovarian reserve.  He gave us options and is helping us get through the next round!  I’m encouraged!

This just happened to me on Monday. It was our first IVF cycle and all of our embryos failed to progress to blast. We are going to try a different protocol for our next cycle and hope for the best! It was definitely pretty devastating finding this out an hour before leaving for our fresh transfer. 😢
