I'm impatient.  8 days until period.  What's the chance of a accurate test

It's actually two weeks from ovulation. Implantation occurs usually between days 7-10 and any time after that you can start to test positive. Most women and most HPT won't give accurate results till you are 14 dpo or day of missed period.

You have to wait 2 weeks from implantation to produce hormones some show earlier since they implanted early it might show but then again not
