Should I give him another chance?

My ex and I broke up two months ago. He hurt me in a way that I would never imagine and he was kinda abusive. But today we went to church and talked and he says he’s changed. I think he has but I’m still having doubts. He got upset that I didn’t want to be more than friends and said God puts the people you need in your life not who you want and it got me thinking maybe I should give him another chance but I don’t know I still have my doubt about it because I’m healing from the things that have happened. Any advice ladies?

People say they change all the time but rarely do. It is the people that show you they have changed rather than telling you that have. I wouldn’t go back hun. You are better without him.

If god puts who you need in your life then that means he takes away the ones you don’t need in your life too. And that being your ex. God just might be ready to put someone new in your life. Don’t let him get in the way of that
