My Birth Story!

My due date was April 2nd usually my obgyn waits to induce til 41 weeks but because I had blood pressure issues throughout my pregnancy they were inducing me that Wednesday !

Wednesday we got there at 7am we were in the room getting ready to be induced 845am they started the Pitocin after about an hour I started to get contractions 10 mins apart almost 2 hours after starting the Pitocin they turned it off because two other woman came in in labor. Well after waiting 3 1/2 hours they sent us home because they were busy & it wasn’t ‘ safe ‘ for me to be there. * I live an hour away *

So they told me to call tomorrow * Thursday * morning to see when I’ll be able to come back to be induced could be Thursday Friday or Sunday... anyway I call them the next morning told me to be there at 1pm ! Finally, because I was done being pregnant.

Thursday we get there at 1pm get in the room , get situated & ready to have a baby. * Before the Pitocin * everything was fine then next thing I know my nurse is having me go from one side to the other trying to find my baby’s heart beat then she starts yelling at the one nurse down the hall & then 15 people rushed into my room. My husband was freaking out inside * this is his first bio child , my 2nd child *

I was rushed off to have an emergency c-section which was pretty scary, I couldn’t stop crying. My baby’s heart dropped down to 50 , at first they wanted to put me to sleep Because it would be faster. I’m freaking out because I mentally wasn’t prepared for a c-section , well the baby’s heart rate came back up & they decided do hurry & just do the Epidural which I thought in my mind was gonna be awful but it wasn’t bad at all.

My husband finally came in & I just lose it doing the ugly crying from being overwhelmed. everyone in the room was great I explained everything they were doing, telling me it was gonna be okay. Next thing they lost the heart beat & they quickly cut me open.

Meet Madilynn Gail Cummer 235pm my little girl was born , weighing 7 lbs 13oz!!!

They couldn’t figure out why her heart rate was dropping , the cord was over her right shoulder across the neck but it wasn’t wrapped at all. The sent my placenta off to go get test because it looked a little aged. But my little girl is heathy as can be & that’s all the matters 💕
