Is this a sign?

First off I am NOT asking if this is a pregnancy sign. Anyways earlier today I decided to go to Walmart and as I was going down the street, I saw a dog who was very obviously starving. There were people behind me so I couldn’t stop and this road isn’t the safest as well. I went into the Walmart and bought dog treats and planned to attempt stopping and getting the dog but I didn’t see him. I decided to loop around see if he had walked into the neighborhood nearby but again I didn’t see him. I drove down the street and turned around and when I passed again, he was there. I again turned around to be closer but he disappeared. I went down the street, turned around again but didn’t see him. I decided to just go back to my dorm but as soon as I passed again, I see the dog walking along some bridge/train track (the hill was extremely steep so I’m not sure how he got up there). Now this is were it gets really weird. I saw him for a quick second and immediately did a u turn but he was gone again. I continued looking for him but didn’t see him again. This was a very weird situation for me. The dog literally disappeared right in front of my eyes. I was wondering if this meant anything or if it was just a strange coincidence.
