Does birth control make it harder to conceive

Hi ladies I’ve heard story’s about the pill and other birth controls making it hard for women to conceive after coming off them, is this true? Only I’m a little bit worried because I’ve been on the pill since I was 13 and I’m terrified I might not be able to conceive because of this :( some advise please??? 🤔

Yes it can be harder, depending on how long you’ve been on birth control. Just like medicines that can have side affects or cause other health problems the longer you are on BC, the longer it can cause your body to naturally produce the same hormone that it transmits once off of it and it can take a long while before you body is clear from this hormone. I found this out after speaking with 6 dr. After having my IUD removed after 6 yrs. A lot of ppl are nieve to this tho bc unless you ask a dr directly they don’t bother to tell you when opting in for BC. Good luck and baby dust

So far studies haven’t indicated so, but long term use of birth control is linked to PCOS and endometriosis. The depo shot and implanon have delayed return of fertility, usually more than a year.

It really depends on the person! I have family members who skipped one month of birth control and got pregnant immediately! Meanwhile it took me 8 months and I have never taken birth control. Some of my friends did have some trouble after coming off of birth control, but it could have easily been for other reasons. I would discuss it with your OBGYN but honestly I wouldn’t worry about it!

I was on the pill for about 10 years before I stopped back in September. We started trying right away and it only took 5 months for us to conceive! Give it 3 months to get out of your system and then it could really happen any time. For a normal healthy couple it can take up to a year!

Scientific studies have been done and they have concluded it to be no. Getting pregnant period is a luck thing. You just have to have sex at the exact right time.
