Okay so I need some advice. So I have these two friends and one acquaintance. My best friend said something kinda mean but I don't think she really meant it about two of them. I jokingly said it and only mentioned one girl and I totally regret it because we only told our other two guy best friends who have been our friends for many years now. My acquaintance got a Snapchat from someone saying that we said that about her and one of my other friends. Now they act really weird about it with me and I've told my other friend (not the one who was told it was about her) that I didn't say that and that my best friend was joking. Now almost their entire friend group the "populars" think I said bad things about her, plus some of them were my friends. I don't know what to do! I've tried to just ignore it but I can just tell they're mad at me. I only said it because I was repeating what my best friend said and everyone was taking it out of context. What should I do?!?!?!
