When did you know you were ready to TTC for child #2?

I feel close to ready but I’d love to hear your experiences!

My 2 year old was in the back seat and we were driving somewhere an hour away and the heat was on bc it was winter. He didn’t have a ton of words at the time but he started to fuss and when I asked him what was wrong he said “Mama, I hot!” So I turned down the heat and then he was fine. I thought “not 5 months ago that interaction would have just been him crying until I could figure out what was wrong.” At that moment I was like “okay this one can communicate with us, we can have another one!” 😂

My first didn’t sleep through the night until a year. Once he started sleeping I began to feel a little more normal and human. Once I felt like the fog had sort of lifted and I felt more myslef again and that I could simply enjoy my child and not just be pushing through the motions I felt like I was ready to try again.

once she weaned herself at 15 months,  I felt ready. we lost a baby shortly after that,  but got pregnant again quickly.  they are now 2 years 4 months apart.

lol before we were moved to recovery after my daughter was born. So less than 2 hours after giving birth.

We knew we would like kids close in age if possible  my son was a fairly good sleeper and we felt comfortable trying when he was 9 months old. I was 12 weeks pregnant when he turned a year! We are still so happy we are having our second any day now. Right for us!

We always wanted a second baby. We started ttc when my son turned 18 months old. We wanted to spend some quality time with our son being an only child first. My son is super active, independent and LOVES other kids so those helped us with our decision.

We started trying once my daughter was 5 months. She is now 15 months and I am 27 weeks. They will be 18 months apart! We can’t wait!

Me and my husband talked about it after our daughter turned two but we never really felt like we were ready until she was 2.5 she is an independent child but always wants to do things with us and has no cousins or small children to play with in the family. Rather than waiting for cousins one day my husband and I just did the deed and I knew I was going to get pregnant and I did on our first time trying! We are expecting a baby boy and him and our daughter will be 3.5 years apart when he arrives this August which I feel is great because ny daughter always wants to help and is almost fully potty trained 😊

our daughter is getting close to 2 and we new we wanted them somewhat close together. So, when she hit 18 months we started ttc. She will be 2 and 4 months by the time this one is here :)
