Need advice Mother in law problem

So my “mother”in law and I have never had a great relationship but I thought things were getting better. We were going to get our nails done together we shopped together. I helped her with bills (paying the whole bill) we work together. But recently I found out from another coworker that she infact doesn’t think so highly of me I quote “she just my grandchild’s mother”. This really up set me because I was starting to feel like she excepted me. Yeah crazy right?! But now I’m in this awkward position of Should i say something or act like I don’t know????
