Did your baby run a fever with teething?

My one year old started cutting some more teeth last Thursday. As of yesterday he started running a fever along with drooling excessively. His fever was up to 101.5 today. The doctor wants to see him tomorrow to rule out anything else. Wondering if anyone else's baby ran a fever of 101+ when teething. We've been dealing with interrupted sleep and screaming during the night the last week likely due to teething.

They usually say a low-grade temp/fever can happen with teething and if it’s above 101F, it’s something else. 
With that being said, my daughter got a fever of 101.5F when teething. She had no other symptoms or signs of illness. Sure enough, her tooth broke through the next day after the fever.

It’s also my understanding that elevated temp due to teething is usually really low (maybe not even a true fever- less than 100.4). I wouldn’t personally feel the need to see a doc for a one day fever of 101.5, but I hope your little one feels better soon.

Our 10 month old has 8 teeth and has never run a fever while teething. She got the first two at 5.5 months and then 6 more between 9 and 10 months. Her temperature remained normal both times. It's normal for some babies to have a low-grade fever but if it's over 101 then it's likely it's from an infection. Not teething. I wouldn't be taking my daughter to the doctor for a fever like that until it's gone on for a few days. For now, I'd just give Tylenol. That will help with both the teething and the fever.
