Hi, so I had my son July 2016. 3 months later I developed these raised bumps on my skin, and my rosacea spun out of control! my skin was itchy, my joints ached so bad I had such a hard time. I saw a dermatologist, they took some skin samples and said that they were consistent with lupus or dermatomyositis. I've had TONS of bloodwork done but it all keeps coming back normal! after careful consideration ruling out drug eruption from my seizure meds they put me on plaquenil and that seems to be controlling whatever is going on. but now my face looks terrible! they put me back on doxycycline which had helped before but took time to clear my face. ive never felt more discouraged in my whole life. ....im waiting for my dr to refer me to a place I wanna go its 1hr and a half away. I do not know much of my family history, but I do know certain diseases run rampant (thyroid). I just wish the cycle would end, my meds make me not hungry, my cycles are becoming irregular because I'm unintentionally starving myself. I dont want another medicine as I take several others and I just dont know what else to do besides wait. i read pregnancy can cause lupus to flare, has anyone experienced this or something similar? any input would be appreciated I have 2 follow up appointments coming. it's very frustrating. just wanted to vent and maybe get insight from someone who has been there before. thank you for taking the time to read!❤✌
