I’m curious to try the BC implant...anyone have it or have had it?

I’ve been on the depo shot for years and wanted to take a break from it for a while and he side effects coming off were horrible!!! 😬😐 I’m thinking of trying the implant in a year or so, has anyone been on it or have it now that can give some advice on what it was like for you?

Had the implant for about 2 years now and I love it. Most common side effect is irregular bleeding/period. First two months it made my period heavier and lengthier but it wasn't anything too crazy. After the first couple months up til now I stopped my period all together. I do experience some slight cramping and it also increased my sex drive. I didn't gain any weight and it didn't mess with my acne either. I highly recommend the implant, I heard so many bad things about the shot. Just bring this option up to your doctor so you guys can discuss further the side effects and it it'll be a good option for you!

I got one when I was 16, then took it our at 19 and switched to pills, then fell pregnant, I got another one after the birth and I just took out my 3rd one 4 months ago
At the beginning it was great, no period or just a little, no side effects, no pregnancy scares nothing to worry about.
About year and a half ago my moods stated to go up and down terribly, my periods got heavier and much longer to the point I was feeling exhausted all the time and had to take more vitamins
Since I've taken it out and I'm not on any contraceptive atm I feel amazing 
I'd rate implant as best contraceptive no side effects, no issues etc. But I think because I've had it for too long and since I was quite young it became an issue years later. So I'm giving my body some time to get back to normal x

I have it and I really like it. Never had any pregnancy scares and I’ve had partners come in me many times. It does make my period all wonky though. I like that I can feel it and know that I’m protected 24-7.

I’ve only been on it for a little over 2 months. I like it so far besides the spotting & that’s the only side affect I’ve gotten so far.

I read that it was possible to stop the period completely with the implant? Did that ever happen to you? My period stopped completely the first time I ever went on the depo.
