Stop taking birth control

So almost 3 weeks ago I stopped taking birth control. Keep in mind I have been taking it every day for the past almost 3 years. I have been feeling bloated ever since I have stopped. I haven’t had sex since I stopped taking it. The only thing that is worrying me is that on eve it’s telling that my period is supposed to come in 4 days, however my sister who is a nurse told me it’s totally normal for your period to be delayed due to stopping birth control, and I talked to my best friend who recently stopped taking it as well but I believe she’s only been taking it for a year or so, anyway she told me that her period is delayed and it will probably only go back to regular time after a month. I’m just wondering if any of you have experienced this? P.S. I’m not getting any other pms symptoms other than just bloating. (which I usually start feeling pms symptoms either 10 days or 4 days prior to my period) is that normal?
