period delay tablets?

Has anybody used the period delay pills called 'norethisterone' my holiday is in june and im due it the day i leave :/ is it effective? theyre pretty expensive if they dont actually work so im quite scared to buy, did it work for you/somebody you know???

I'm in the uk so I'm not sure which tablet I took but I did this once for a holiday, it doesn't greatly affect you because it's only for a short period of time! I was only on holiday for two weeks so I took them for the duration of the holiday - I was due on my second week so I started my first day of holiday (one week before as advised) and continued through the second week and no period showed. I stoped the day I flew home & came on within 3 days of stopping them! It didn't affect my period the next month; it still came like clockwork and like it always did! whichever one I took worked for me and didn't cause any damage at all! It was for 2 weeks of my life. Luckily I've never had to do it again, that was the only holiday I've had where it clashes! I purely took it because I cannot wear tampons and wouldn't of been able to swim or really enjoy being in a swimsuit for my holiday - I just wanted to relax and enjoy and it did the job for me! I took them when I was 17/18 and I'm now 24, I have and always have had regular periods, haven't been on birth control since I was 20 because I've been with my man since I was 19, we have a beautiful son who's going to be 3 in July & we have twins due in September!!! It honestly had no long lasting side affects & nothing sinister happened at all! ☺️
