Wondering about a medication..

I have a yeast infection that I've been dealing with for a few weeks now .. I bought Monistat but I'm not comfortable with squirting the cream up in there .. Usually I just get an antibiotic prescribed to me to take care of it. I'm pregnant now with this yeast infection and I told the nurse at my OB office and she prescribed me one Fluconazole tablet 150 mg, I have yet to take it because I'm nervous what it could do to the baby .. I know it "should" be safe considering the medical personnel prescribed it to me but I'm still weery. I'm out of my 1st trimester, I'll actually be 21 weeks tomorrow. I read the side effects and it says may cause harm to fetus in 1st trimester. Idk I'm just scared to take it as I haven't took any type of medication this whole pregnancy because I don't feel safe with any thing.. But it's bugging me so bad and I really want it gone! Has anyone else took it before and everything was okay?
