Is it okay?

Recently I’ve been talking to this guy, he’s so kind and really lovely. He comes back from Military duty in three weeks and he’s asked me out on a date, I’ve recently come out of a very manipulative and controlling relationship (about two months ago) so am taking things very slow. I really like him but my only concern is the age difference as I’m 19 and he’s 26, if anyone could give me some advice on this that would be great!

If you feel like you handle the 7 year difference it should be fine. Make sure he knows your age though and take it slow. This might be a really good guy for you

I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 27. I am honestly in love and we forget the age difference most of the time. And when we remember it it's kinda funny. Of course he's gonna have to understand that you're still developing as a person/adult and that some things are gonna take time. As long as you're patient with each other and can settle generational differences it's all cool. It helps that I'm a but more mature for my age(it's teh trauma) and the he's a bit immature sometimes too. We're a goofy pair and I hope that you and this guy can work it out. It's cool that you wanna take it slow
