I’m 18 and getting the Mirena IUD inserted on Friday, never having any kids I’m expecting a lot of pain. I know to take painkillers beforehand, but what advice do you have for post incision? How long should I wait to use tampons? Have sex? Should I be okay to drive or should I get someone take me there and back? Should I take/wear panty liners when I go? My main reason for switching from the Nexplanon arm implant to the IUD is to help with migraines, does anyone else suffer and has found that they get better on the IUD? I’ve never had any infections (yeast, BV, UTI, to my knowledge at least), has anyone found an IUD to increase the likelihood of these? I’m out for a meal and drinks on Saturday, will alcohol make the pain/bleeding worse or should I be okay to drink so quick after it? Any advice and personal experiences would mean the world to me
