Do severe pregnancy symptoms decrease the likeliness of a miscarriage?

I miscarried 6 years ago with my ex husband who was super abusive. divorced him and 5 years later married my soulmate. my 1st pregnancy i had ZERO symptoms - besides a missed period and miscarried at 6 weeks. im now almost 8 weeks and have hsd symptoms since day 1 of uterine stretching, a nice pregnancy glow, zero spotting and severe nausea and vomiting. I assume the symptoms are a good sign. Is there an actual correlation between symptoms snd viability?

Definitely not true. The saying “the worse you feel the healthier your pregnancy is” is not true either. Pregnancy is different for everyone! I have had a very healthy pregnancy with no severe symptoms.

Your chances significantly drop after you hear the heartbeat. You could see if they’ll let you have a early ultrasound done to confirm heartbeat. I had one done at six weeks, it was such a relief to see the little flicker.

I’m 19w 2d and all I’ve had is exhaustion and occasional nipple soreness. No nausea and only mild cramps at the very beginning and zero spotting at all. So it’s not necessarily true that you have to have morning sickness or very drastic symptoms to have a pregnancy that sticks.

That’s an old wives tale. Symptoms or lack of them, whatever the case may be, in no way determines how healthy a pregnancy or a growing baby is.
I have had a perfect pregnancy (don’t hate me) and have avoided all sickness and all nausea. My worst symptoms were fatigue and breast tenderness from weeks 5-9. Those vanished overnight, abs I got all my energy back. Our baby is growing as she should be, my belly is measuring exactly where it should be, and her anatomy scan was so clean that the doctor assured us that her risk of any birth defects could drop to less than 1%, when the standard provided is generally 2-3%. 
Every woman’s body handles pregnancy and hormonal fluctuations differently. I rarely ever got PMS symptoms, so I wasn’t really worried about pregnancy symptoms.

With my son I had almost no symptoms the whole time and he was completely healthy and with my daughter I’ve had more symptoms and she’s also been completely healthy so far. I don’t think it has anything to do with miscarrying or gives you any kind of sign unfortunately

they say the sicker you are the healthier your pregnancy is, I have been sick non stop the last two weeks its awful My OB appt is today im sure my bbaby is healthy ill let you know! I am wishing you luck on your journey!

They do consider it a good sign, but obviously there’s no guarantee either way. You could have no symptoms and a perfectly healthy baby, you could have horrible symptoms and lose baby. But I know they do generally consider stronger symptoms to be indicative of more hormones and thus a healthier baby.

My First pregnancy I was sick as a dog. I had HG the entire time. This current pregnancy which is actually my 7 (5 miscarriage) I was barely sick at all and I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow.

Yes there is a correlation between symptoms and a healthy pregnancy. However, you can’t always depend on symptoms. A lot of the time you do go through phases where you don’t feel anything and then the symptoms will come back. To answer your question however yes being sick is a good sign. I’m 7 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I don’t have morning sickness. By this stage with my daughter I was throwing up everything I ate. Every pregnancy is different :)
