Wash store bought brand new baby clothes?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question... Do I need to wash my baby's clothes prior to him wearing them?

Yes but you dont need the baby soap you can use whatever you already use for your clothes since the baby is going to touch everything washed in reg soap its pointless to use different stuff

I'm allergic to essentially every detergent except Dreft so that's what we will use, not sure if we will wash stuff first cause not sure what all will fit 🤔

We use regular detergent that is free of dyes and smells. But yes I washed everything before she wore it or used it for probably the first 6 months or so

Yes wash everything. Clothes are made in 3rd world country factories and are handled by employees, shoppers etc,  they're germy. I use All Free Clear detergent, it's not expensive.

I wash all things store bought that come in contact with my baby - clothes, socks, blankets, swaddles etc. before I ever use it. I don’t bother with baby detergent unless baby has sensitive skin or is allergic to the detergent that I normally use. It’s just extra loads of laundry and separation to do.

I'll be washing all of babies things with tide free and clear. simply because that's the only detergent that my six year old can stand on her skin, and If this baby takes after his/her big sister, I'll have another eczema kiddo.
