toddler and rat feces

so we have a damn mouse I cant seem to catch. and tonight I found a piece of rat poop on the floor, I grabbed a key and touched it with it making sure it wasnt lint, I sat the key down to go grab a tissue to get it up and than my 4 year old grabbed the key and stuck it in his mouth! the same end I used to move thr rat poop around with. I feel so bad. I washed his mouth out with mouth wash 6 times and brushed his teeth and tongue.. as well called poison control but yall I'm still so worried about a disease from the nasty ass mouse ewwww
