If you’re Christian, do you interpret everything the Bible says to be literal?

If not, what are some things the Bible says that you don’t take literally? 
Bonus question: do you think somebody is not a “true Christian” if they don’t believe everything word-for-word from the Bible?

No. Each book in the bible is God inspired scripture, for sure. But the different authors were all writing to different audiences, in different times and places, and in different contexts. The early chapters of Genesis are not to be interpreted in the same way as the Passion narratives in the gospels. Ezekiel or Revelation are not to be read or understood in the same way as Paul's letters or one of the historical books of the OT. There are wisdom books, minor/major prophets, historical books, letters, apocalyptic writing, etc. Sitting down and just taking everything at face value is missing the purpose of each author's writing.

Some parts are very literal and some are metaphorical it can be difficult to interpret but that’s what priests are for

I believe some parts of the Bible are literal, but many are figurative. 
The Bible is full of parables and stories meant to teach a lesson or impart wisdom. 
I do believe that reading the Bible is important in having a relationship with God— how can you say you know Him without knowing His word? But I also think each person takes away something different from the Bible. It’s a personal thing, for sure. I don’t think there really is a “wrong” way to interpret the Bible. We’re all on a different walk with God 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some things are meant to be taken literally. Others are symbolic. Others too were  written as lessons for us to use in our lives as principles in decision making and in the way we live. A thorough study of the Bible would show a person which things are to be taken in which way.

I believe in god but I don’t care about the Bible. I never have and never will read it. So no I don’t think someone isn’t a true Christian if they don’t.

No. There are clear differences in the styles of writing. Song of Solomon is a good example. It’s poetic and literally is about romantic intimacy. But it’s widely understood to be allegorical.

I believe that some of it is literal (exodus happened) but most of it is an allegory about how we should live our lives.
