Terrible twos— early?

Question

Anyone else dealing with defiance/behavioral issues? More often than not my daughter behaves well. She’s sweet and smart- but has taken to periodic tantrums, and unpleasant behavior when she doesn’t get what she wants. I also found out that her daycare does not discipline, at all. They just say “we’re not happy with that behavior” but there’s no time out or consequences. I think this is exacerbating the problem. 
How are you guys coping with early onset of the terrible 2s? And what discipline methods are you utilizing

Yes same here. What I've found best is to just ignore her when she throws tantrums. Just today she got mad because I put her granola bar on her kids table. Not sure why but she was so upset and was crying because it was there 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just told her no and then walked away. They do this for attention, they're just testing to see how far they can get. But usually walking away to a different room does the trick. Time outs don't seem to work for her unfortunately.

All of this! Lots of hitting when told “no”. Tantrums. I’ve done time out and feel like I’m getting no where. I’ll continue to do time outs mainly for my own sanity. I’m 24 weeks and praying this is only a phase. Thankful to hear so many others are going through this as well.

Same boat. My sweet 21 months old is a saint 95% of the time-she helps pick up her mess, eats all her food,etc.  The other 5% drives me insane.  She gets so angry -it’s like a switch.  She cries, stiffens her body, and just gets pissed!!!  I mean-I feel her bc she gets the way I wish I could when things don’t go my way.  Thankfully my husband is a patient man-so I let him deal w it.  But sometimes I try to get her up off the floor and I give her hugs and a cloth w a tag until she calms down.  Man-I’m 25 weeks pregnant and really hoping it gets better (I hear it does).

Going thru this as well! She’s so amazing and helpful with the 11 wk old brother and then she’s horrible and I’m like where did I go wrong? 😂 we are doing time outs...as much as you can as this age and redirection. I try to tell her that she can’t hit and make her say I’m sorry. I too hope it’s all just a phase.
