Is this a sign of menopause?

So my mother... age 43... started her period like 2 days ago and it is realllly bad. She said that she has clots like no tomorrow and her period is so heavy that she went through a whole box of supers in a day. Today she was so nauseous and had horrible cramps that she took a bath and put a heating pad on and took medicine. I’m just wondering if this is a sign of menopause and when she should expect the end of her cycle days. Anything can help!

Yep, my mom hemorrhaged twice in her 40s. Once when I was 4 and she was 44, during that time my mom had to go to the hospital because she bled so much her blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels. She lost a lot of blood, they really should have given her transfusions. She was yellow. They had to do a D&C.; She’s so sweet, during the whole time this was happening all she wanted was a telephone to call my babysitter to check in. Same thing happened to her when I was 9 or 10 I think. She had to get another emergency D&C; but this time she didn’t lose as much blood because she knew to go to the ER right away. I remember bringing her a stuffed bunny. It’s funny cause her period finally stopped forever as soon as I started mine at 12 😂

Yes. When my mom and aunt both started menopause, they both experienced really heavy flows, bad cramps and bad headaches.
