What birth control is the best?

Question

I want to start using birth control but I’m not sure which one I should choose. I just want other people’s opinions on what they’re using/used before. I don’t have a doctors appointment until July so I’m doing all of my research now.

Got on the implant for several reasons: lasts 3/4 years, one of the most effective methods (more than 99% effective) and I'm just too forgetful for the pills lol. It's been a little over two years with it and I love it. There are side effects to keep in mind like the most common being irregular bleeding, first two months it made my period lengthier and heavier but after those two months up til now it has stopped my period altogether. I get slight cramping and it also increased my sex drive. I didn't gain any weight and it didn't mess with my acne either. I love the implant, it was the best option for me! Everyone is different though so just discuss with your doctor your options and pick the best one for you (:
 I would say if you're good at taking pills then maybe start with those. If taken as directed the pills can be very effective, but most people don't so if you already know you'll have a hard time taking them then that might not be the best method for you.

Depends on you and your lifestyle. Pills are cheap. IUDs you don’t have to remember. Condoms are cheap as well. Etc. Ask your doctor as well- some types of birth control has weight limits etc
