If you know when you ovulated, will your due date still be calculated from the first day of your LMP?

Question

I ovulated 3 days late (according to quite a few opk’s) and according to most due date calendars, my due date varies a bit depending on whether they count from my LMP or actual ovulation day itself.
For anyone that is pregnant/has been through this before, will my doctor likely take that into consideration when calculating my due date? Or will they simply count it the usual way?
(From my ovulation day, my due date is 12/31/18! So while I know it’s not an exact science, I just want to be as precise as possible!)

they'll keep it based off of your lmp until the first screening when they get a good idea of how baby is measuring, and then edit based off of that. I ovulated a few days early, but despite that was measuring down to the exact day during the ultrasound scans based off of my lmp expected date.

they will go by first day of last period because that is the day the egg starts maturing and prepared to be released. it is also easier to detect that actual fertilization and implantation which can occur 7-10 days after ovulation.

It depends on your doctor. Keep in mind no matter what date they tell you - it’s just an estimation so don’t get discouraged if your due date comes and goes, some baby’s need to cook for longer 😋

I ovulated a week later than the “average” timeline. When I made my first appointment they went by LMP even though I told them I ovulated late but when they did an ultrasound they changed it based on measurements which lined up with when I ovulated perfectly.

They will base it off LMP unless your first ultrasound shows much different because a due date is really just their best guess anyways. I ovulated a couple days early, so my ultrasound showed 2 days earlier than what I would be based off my LMP and my doctor still kept my due date based off LMP because, in her words, "a couple days either way doesn't really matter". At my anatomy scan I was measuring a little more than a week ahead and they still haven't changed my due date but simply said it is probably safe to say I will have a baby by my due date.

same for me, my doctor still calculated it from my lmp at my first appointmant but will take the date from the mesurement of my first ultrasound in a week for the real due date.

Yep, I know the day inoculated and they still go from the date of your lmp, though I do know if the baby measures differently on ultrasound they will go based off the ultrasound
