Telling my boyfriend

I'm Bi and I've always felt that way but only in the past few months did I truly accept it. I've been dating my boyfriend for six months and I love him and am in no way not attracted to him or considering ending anything. However, I don't know what to do. Should I tell him that I'm Bi? Or is that unnecessary. Because I feel like it could freak him out, but I want to be honest with him and don't want to lie. Help, thank you so much
