Help with Birth control!!

So right now it's 5:30pm and i normally take my pill at 9pm. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IW AS THINKING but out of nowhere i took out the packet i took the pill(it was an active one)But the time i realized what i was doing i trying to cough it up and i did (yeah kind of gross but oh well), anyway so, 2 questions.

1. If i had swallowed it, would it have affected anything?(My cycle or my pregnancy prevention?)

2. Does coughin it up make the pills effect go away? (Might be a dumb question but this is super new to me)
