Calling all GLAM queens: do you get your nails filled still ?

Question

I read there was no proof that it can harm you as long as the area is well ventilated. Also I read fill acrylic is ok as you don’t soak you nails in acetone?! I’m perplexed what to do.

I get my nails done frequently. You have to take breaks to let your nails heal, they do cause damage. 
But I'm guessing you're pregnant, that's why you're asking? Just make sure it's well ventilated

I got them done my entire pregnancy. I’m now about to be 40 weeks Sunday, and I’ve had a very healthy pregnancy. As long as it’s a clean well ventilated area you should be ok. But you can always ask your doctor if you are nervous! 🙃🤗

I’ve given up on getting acrylic nails. There are no reputable salons in my area. Every time I go, I have cheap products used on me that make my nails look terrible.

... Acrylics damage and weaken the nails. They can also cause infections in the nails as the natural nail is growing back, the tools used are unsanitary or if the artifical nail is too long. Most nail salons are small not well ventilated. I don't recommend them unless its once in a blue moon for a special occasion.

I used to love getting acrylics, but they’ve damaged my nails SO BADLY. Ugh and the process of removing is literally hell. I just get gel nail polish now
