Can dogs/pets sense early pregnancy??

Might sound stupid, but my dog has been sooooo clingy lately. Literally wants me and nobody else. He wants to be cuddled up to me all the time over the past 3/4 days and he lays across my belly when I'm laid in bed. I've been TTC for 8 months, and I'm due on my period this weekend. I've tested twice this week and got BFN's both times 😩😩 don't judge, just thought his behaviour is strange!! X
